PHOTOS OF THE DAY: CANDID GENE KELLY
To end out Gene Kelly week, I thought it was be interesting to take a look at some photos of the dancer. Gene Kelly's great talent was not only captured on film and records, but his photogenic nature is evidenced by a lot of the great pictures that were captured of him throughout the years. Here are some different photos that you normally see of this legendary dancer:

WITH FRANK SINATRA
WITH FRED ASTAIRE
Labels:

such a fabulously handsome man, and, yes, very photogenic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a wonderful 100th birthday celebration for him.
I really like the picture drinking coffee with: MARLIYN MONROE AND YVES MONTAND.
ReplyDeleteLove the shots of Gene with Sinatra and Mr. Astaire. Classic. Because I wrote a piece on "Let's Make Love" for the CMBA blogathon, I was thrilled to find a few photos, like the one shown here, had been taken of Gene on the set during his 2 hour stint on the film.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of a marvelous and extremely talented man. Great blogsite you've got here. all the best.
ReplyDeleteI know that Marilyn was having an affair with Yves Montand but she looks way more into Gene.
ReplyDeleteI think that Marilyn Monroe and Gene Kelly are the two immortals of 1950's Hollywood.
MM over the subway grate and Kelly on the lamppost are so iconic.
