Again, these are my favorite movies and not what critics or the public are saying are the best films. Some of these 100 films might be horrible bombs, but they are ones that I like personally. What films did I leave off? Comments are greatly appreciated...
Interesting list! I like the inclusion of "Holiday Inn" which I fondly remember watching as a child each Christmas on television throughout the early 1970s. Too bad it's not shown very much nowadays. I like "Holiday Inn" a lot better than the re-make "White Christmas".
ReplyDeleteAnother film I would include is "The Search" (1948). Critic/author David Shipman in his book, "The Great Movie Stars: the golden years" (1970), states that one of the best movies of the 1940s is "The Search" with Aline MacMahon and Montgomery Clift. I have to agree with Shipman: "The Search" is one of my all-time favourite movies!
